Have a Food Drive

Next to money, food is our greatest need. Have your school, church, service club or business collect food for Inter-Faith. We'll be thrilled to pick it up!

Feed the Need

Feed the Need is explained on the attached. This is a great way to get people in the community involved.

Have a "Shower Shower"

Have people collect all personal care items that you would use in your own bathroom: shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, razors, tampons, lotion, etc.

For people who are struggling to feed their family, these luxuries are often too expensive.

Have a Baby Shower

Get a group of friends together and have everyone bring items that a new mother needs for her new bundle of joy.

It will help the little one have a great start on life! Items needed: diapers, bottles, food, clothes, blankets, etc.

Sponsor a child for Ready, Set, School!

You can outfit a child for the first day of school with new clothes, shoes and school supplies. It makes a HUGE difference to their self-esteem as they start the new school year. Click here for our latest needs list.

Thanksgiving Baskets

Collect food that will be used for Thanksgiving Baskets for families and seniors who would otherwise not be able to celebrate the holiday.

Items needed: juice, coffee, French fried onions, cream of mushroom soup, stuffing, yams, cranberry sauce, cookies or candy, marshmallows, etc. Money, or "Turkey Bucks," is always needed.

"Turkey Bucks" are used to purchase turkeys, fresh produce and items that we do not get enough of donated.

More information on Thanksgiving Baskets.

Adopt-a-Family or Senior for the December Holidays

Share the warmth of the Holiday Season with those who otherwise would not have anything. You get information on who's in your family, their names, ages, gift request and clothing size. We ask for a new article of clothing for each child, a new toy or gift, a little something for the parent(s) and a gift certificate for the holiday meal. That is our minimum requirement for our sponsors, but many sponsors go above and beyond that and our families are thrilled!! For our seniors we ask for a box of food for them since many of them cannot make it to the grocery store as well as a gift.

Have a Paper Drive

Collect toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, diapers, etc. These items are always needed!

Pick Up Donations for Inter-Faith

Many churches and businesses have regular donation collections for Inter-Faith. We are in need of a volunteer who could pick up the items and bring them to Inter-Faith.

Drive for a Senior Program

People who are willing to help seniors with rides for medical transportation, grocery shopping, etc. are always needed.

Other Ideas:

Socks and Underwear

We only give out new socks and underwear in our clothing bank and we never have enough.

Jelly Drive

We get bread in four times a week and lots of peanut butter, but what good is it to give out bread and peanut butter without the jelly? Joins others in your community by collecting Jelly and donating it to Inter-Faith Community Services.

Quilts

If you belong to a quilting group, why not make quilts that we can give out to people who would treasure them

Birthday Boxes

Fill a box with everything a parent would need for their child's birthday. Cake pan, cake mix, frosting, party favors, napkins and a gift for the child. For parents worried about feeding their family they often think a birthday celebration is something they can't afford.

Spring Cleaning

When you clean out your closets, don't forget we would love the clothes you or your children no longer wear.
