2015 IFCS Puttin’ On the Green Raises $32,500!

A fun morning of miniature golf, for nearly 80 players, turned into $32,500 raised to support IFCS, the largest non-sectarian, social-services agency serving the northern Douglas and unincorporated Arapahoe counties. These funds will help families in need, in those communities, put food on the table and keep the lights on.

Golfers played “fun” holes!

The 20th annual Puttin’ On the Green, Drive to End Hunger miniature golf, friend-raiser is an annual fundraiser for the non-profit and brings together supporters, volunteers and IFCS staff. Teams of 5 gather donations from friends and then celebrate their success with a fun round of miniature golf at Colorado Journey, 5150 S Windermere St, Littleton, CO 80120. During the round, participants engage in several “fun” holes like hitting the ball with a spatula or wearing a feather boa while learning about the many programs IFCS provides to those in need.

Goofy attire is not only welcome, it is ENCOURAGED.

“This event is such a fun way to learn about us,” said Sandra Blythe-Perry, IFCS Executive Director. “We see many smiles and laughs from the players. Plus, between the financial support of $30,500, which was $500 over our goal, and food donations, we will be able to help many families this summer.”

A growing addition to the event is the amount of donated food. This year, IFCS had tables overflowing with food staples like macaroni and cheese, tuna and pastas. These donations will go to the IFCS’ food bank and be distributed to those in need.
