There are Many Ways to Support Children Going Back to School

Sponsor a Child AND Make a Donation to support the program!

Are you thinking about sponsoring multiple children? Instead of sponsoring 3 children, consider sponsoring 1 child and donating money to IFCS.

Take your support to another level by not only helping a child in need, but by helping many more children in need through a financial donation. Each year, IFCS spends limited financial resources to provide this program and your financial support can really make a big difference for the organization and the families we help. Your donation will support this unique program and ensure it will be available next year!

Sponsor a Child(ren) for Back to School

We will work to match you with a child (K-8th grade) and provide a list of grade appropriate school items needed along with their clothing sizes, favorite school subjects, and more.

What does it mean to sponsor a child?  We ask each sponsor to provide a new backpack, grade appropriate school supplies, a new outfit, socks, underwear, and a gift card for a new pair of shoes (suggested amount $25).  Don’t worry, IFCS will supply you with all the information you need.

Make a Donation to directly impact families in need!

Don’t have time to shop? Going to be out of town this Summer? You can still help K-8 students by making a tax-deductible donation to support IFCS. It costs IFCS more than $66,000 to administer this unique program to hundreds of children who might not otherwise be prepared for school in the fall.

Collect School Supplies and a New Backpack!

While we do our best to serve hundreds of children, sometimes families miss registration timelines. Supplies are collected for K-8th graders as well as High School students.

If you would like to collect new gender neutral backpacks and/or school supplies, please email Sarah Rutledge at SarahR@ifcs.org.

Volunteer TODAY!

Assist with registration, complete quality checks and monitor backpack pick-up. Select from weekday morning and afternoon shifts from mid-May through mid-August. Get started today by completing an application, then contacting IFCS Volunteer Coordinator, Kendra Brooks, kbrooks@ifcs.org or 303-789-0501 to schedule an interview to become an approved volunteer.
