Ready, Set, School! Program Registration – K-8th Grade

Ready, Set, School! is an IFCS enrichment program that matches Kindergarten through 8th Grade school children with a sponsor.  The sponsor is asked to purchase a backpack, appropriate school supplies and a first-day of school outfit.  Registration begins May 13 and runs through June 21, 2019.

2014 Ready, Set, School! Program - Preparing Kids to Succeed

IFCS’ Ready, Set, School! Program helps hundreds of children each year succeed in school.

We use a priority number system that tracks how many times a family has used this program in the past.  A first-time client who has never received Ready, Set, School! will be at the top of the priority list.  Due to the priority number system and depending on how many sponsors are available to sponsor children, we cannot guarantee that every family will be sponsored.

To register for Ready, Set, School! please bring the following paperwork to IFCS:

First-Time Clients Need
  • Picture ID of adult registering child(ren).
  • Proof of address dated in the past 30 days with adult’s name registering on it (ex., Xcel bill).
  • Proof of income dated in the past 30 day (ex., most recent paycheck stub, social security benefit, etc.)  Call IFCS to check other acceptable documentation.
  • Copy or original birth certificate or school ID for every child(ren) being registered for K-8.
Returning Clients
  • Picture ID of adult registering child(ren).
  • Proof of address dated in the past 30 days with adult’s name registering on it (ex., Xcel bill).

Save yourself some time please fill out, print, and bring with you to the office.  Also remember that you may not add new members to your household during Ready, Set, School! registration. If you have questions about what paperwork to bring when you come to sign-up, please call 303-789-0501 and speak to a case manager about your situation.

When you sign-up, you will need to know the following: your child’s clothing sizes for shirts, pants, shoes and things like their favorite color, favorite school subject, and favorite hobbies, and school name.

Registration begins May 13, 2019 and ends June 21, 2019, during client service hours. 

No registration on May 27, 2019.

Ready, Set, School! Pick up Information

If your child(ren) is sponsored for this program you will receive a postcard in the mail the week of July 8, 2019. On this postcard will be information on what day/time you can pick up. If you have not received your postcard by July 22, 2019, contact Sarah at 303-789-0501 or

Project Backpack School Supply Information K-High School

If your child(ren) missed the registration for the Ready, Set, School! program or will be in grades 9, 10, 11 or 12, we do provide additional support through our Project Backpack program. For this program, we distribute a variety of school supplies to help. This program is for K-High School students.
