2017 Puttin’ For A Purpose Rolls In Another Success!

Hundreds of community supporters recently worked together to give a local social services agency a $32,000 financial boost and 1,600 food items through a special miniature golf friend-raising event at Colorado Journey Miniature Golf Course, 5150 S Windermere St, Littleton, CO 80120.

Puttin‘ For a Purpose held on June 24, 2017 is an annual friend-raiser bringing in much needed financial support to Integrated Family Community Services (IFCS). This event utilizes the support of friends, family and colleagues pledging to support teams of miniature golf players. These players celebrate their success by playing a round of miniature golf at Colorado Journey.

IFCS, the largest social-services agency serving more than 17,000 families in need throughout South Metro Denver uses these monetary donations to help alleviate the burden of poverty with more than 90 cents per dollar going directly to those in need.

Each year, the top fundraising service clubs and businesses are celebrated at the event. This year the Englewood Rotary and Christian Brothers Automotive took home top honors.

“IFCS and what they do for the community is phenomenal,” said Greg Joseph, co-owner of Christian Brothers Automotive of Highlands Ranch and Littleton along with his wife Tina Joseph. “They really touch the lives of a lot of people and they do it in such an indiscreet way. I love IFCS and everything they stand for. I’m just proud to be a sponsor.”

Through the support of businesses, organizations and service clubs IFCS tries to reach the approximately 70,000 Arapahoe and Douglas County residents who live below the poverty line.

Donors and volunteers looking to give back to their local community are encouraged to visit IFCS.org/donate or call the offices at 303-789-0501.
