4 Quick Grill Meals You Can Make to Impress Your Family This Summer

Summer is here, so it’s time to fire up the grill and enjoy some outdoor cooking. If you find yourself tired of the usual hamburgers and hot dogs, however, you might need some help to expand your menu. Here are just a few new things that you might try on the grill.

Grilled Shrimp Tacos

Grilled shrimp is one of the best summertime foods. Not only can it put all of your freshly-caught seafood to good use, but it can also be added to a variety of pastas, salads and shish kabobs. Grilled shrimp tacos are especially nice for camping trips and backyard parties since they’re so easy to make: Simply load the meat and veggies into a tortilla, and you’re ready to feed everyone.

Sticky Chicken

You’ve probably grilled chicken a thousand times, but sticky chicken will be a fresh new take on an old favorite. It involves marinating the meat in a mix of onions, cloves, garlic and soy sauce before dropping it on the grill, so the end result will be a flavorful masterpiece from the east. The best way to make sticky chicken is with finger-licking drumsticks, but you can also experiment with things like chicken breasts.

Jalapeno Popper Burgers

If you like a bit of spice, jalapeno popper burgers will live up to their name by making your taste buds jump and pop. The secret is to prepare a jalapeno mixture and stuff it inside of the burgers before grilling. The spices and juices will work through the meat as it’s cooking, and the final product will be tender, tasty and spicy. Stick the burgers on kaiser buns and you’ll have an unforgettable meal.

Steak Salad

Steak salads are a great way to put more greens on your plate without giving up the grill. You can still enjoy your favorite sirloins and rib eyes, but you’ll sneak some vegetables into your diet as well. As a bonus, steak salads can be customized for your family’s unique preferences. If your kids don’t like onions, peppers, tomatoes, avocados or scallions, you can simply leave them out.

These are just a few ways to put your grill to the test with new and exciting meal ideas. The best thing about these recipes is that they won’t require you to slave over a hot grill for an entire afternoon. Most of them can be prepared in an hour or less, so they’re quick, easy and delicious as summertime treats.
