Whether you’re biding your time through quarantine or you believe the end is near, you’ve no doubt made it a point to stock up on your favorite foods and snacks for your time indoors. As it seems that the call to stay home is indefinite for the time being, now may be the best time to start planning out your meals and putting together exciting snack ideas. While you could “Netflix and chill” with your favorite pizza rolls and chips, consider the following healthy snack ideas:

1. Coconut Chips

If your first instinct was to stock up on chips when you went to the grocery store, that’s not necessarily a bad idea. Nowadays, chips take on many forms, making the coconut a popular option amongst healthy snackers everywhere. As coconut is a superfood, coconut chips are a power-packed snack filled with antioxidants and other incredible nutrients.

When searching for the right coconut chips, keep an eye out for three basic ingredients: cane sugar, coconut, and salt. These chips are the perfect blend of savory, creamy, and sweet, making it easy to fill up on coconut goodness while staying healthy during your quarantine snack time.

2. Walnuts

Walnuts are another snack that is heart-healthy and tasty as well. While you’re busy finding things to do inside during the quarantine, all you need is a handful of these nuts too feel full. High in omega-3s and proven to reduce inflammation, nuts are the way to go during your snacking times.

3. Ginger Chews

Just because you’re pressing “pause” on your daily life away from the world, you don’t need to put an end to your healthy eating habits. Prioritize your health at home with snacks like ginger chews. Grabbing a bag of these ginger snacks will do wonders for your body.

In addition to kick-starting your digestive juices, this snack will help reduce joint pain through its anti-inflammatory properties.

If you have a bit of a sweet tooth but are still trying to say on the healthy side of things during your quarantine snacking, consider getting vegan protein cookies.
