5 Things You Can Do With the Fam After the Quarantine Ends

After the quarantine has ended, you likely will want to spend some time away from home, and that includes doing something with your family. With that in mind, you should consider these suggestions. Here are five things you can do with the fam after the quarantine ends.

1. Go River Rafting in Kernville, CA

You might be asking, “Where in the world is Kernville, CA?” If you have not ever heard of this town of just around 1,400 people, you should know that plenty of amazing outdoor adventure awaits you and your family. In fact, you can find some of the best water activities available when you visit the Kern River on the Southern end of Sequoia National Park.

Kern River rafting is a great opportunity for family fun regardless of your rafting experience levels. And once your family has enjoyed rafting, all kinds of other outdoor activities. You have so many options for fun with your family in Kernville.

2. Visit the Nation’s Capital

If you and your family have not been to Washington, DC before, you should check out the nation’s capital soon. You have so many fun activities to keep your family entertained.

Make sure to head to the National Mall. You are steps away from the amazing Smithsonian museums, and you can easily get to iconic landmarks. Be certain to check out attractions like the Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and the Washington Monument. Visit the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, too.

3. Take a Trip to NYC

Have you and your family been to New York City before? Even if you’ve already been, you always have a great time when you head to the Big Apple.

Take in traditional family favorites like Broadway shows and site-seeing tours of US landmarks like the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. You could even take it up a notch and do some of your sightseeing on a helicopter tour. How fun would that be with your family?

4. Head to 30A on Florida’s Gulf Coast

Would you all enjoy some beach time? If you are looking for breathtaking beaches and plenty of rest and relaxation, you should visit 30A on the Gulf Coast of Florida. And if you have never been to the area before, you will fall in love with the white sandy beaches and emerald waters.

30A is a Florida state route that runs along the Gulf of Mexico in Walton County, and you have several charming communities on the route that your family will enjoy. You have plenty of amazing beach and water activities, many great local retailers, hiking, cycling, live music, and amazing local restaurants to help ensure your family has fun.

5. Enjoy the Telluride Bluegrass Festival

In 1973 the Telluride Bluegrass Festival kicked off and remains today an event that families like yours can enjoy. Grab your family and head to the Colorado Rockies to the charming town of Telluride to enjoy this annual music celebration in June.

It doesn’t matter the age of your children and you have much more than music to keep you entertained. Your family will indeed have a fun time listening to the performers, taking in arts and crafts, and soaking up the entire festival experience. Don’t forget that you have some amazing outdoor activities in the nearby state and national parks, too.
