7 Vacation Ideas for Making Great Memories with Your Kids
One of the best ways to reconnect with your family and create new memories is to take a vacation together. By spending time in a new setting, you can enjoy having a unique adventure. When you want to plan your next trip, there are a few vacation ideas to consider before it’s time to depart.
1. Take a Cruise
Spend time on the ocean where you can hop aboard a cruise and enjoy different types of activities on a luxurious vessel. Cruises are ideal for families with the all-inclusive packages that are available and culinary buffets that are served, which make it easy to travel with multiple people. You can extend your trip by choosing a cruise that takes you to Canada or at a tropical destination.
2. Visit Dinosaur Land
Allow your kids to have an educational experience by visiting the dinosaur national monument at Dinosaur Land in Vernal, Utah where they can learn about the ancient creatures that roamed the earth over 150,000,000 years ago. Your family can explore museums on the grounds while also visiting a national monument where you can get a firsthand look at fossils and footprints. Camping outdoors is available when you want to stay overnight.
3. Explore Legoland
Both children and adults can spend time on rides that are Lego-themed and view sculptures and works of art that are created out of Lego pieces. The park offers roller coasters, a water park, and an aquarium when you want to spend several days in a colorful setting that is idea for small children. Legoland will encourage your child to be creative and will welcome them to build with the blocks at different activity centers that are offered on the grounds for plenty of play time.
4. Camp at Yellowstone National Park
Spend time in the great outdoors wth your family at Yellowstone National Park where pristine lakes and dramatic peaks are present. The park offers over 3,000 square miles to explore where meadows, forests, and multi-colored pools are present. You can visit different waterfalls and geysers that are available or hike on various trails. Your family can unplug from technology and take tours of the grounds with guides that are available each day of the week.
5. Lounge in Maui
Maui is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Hawaii where many families come to take surf lessons or walk on the white sands. Take a trip to Maui where you can attend a luau at night and snorkel near the sea turtles. You can also take a hike on dormant volcanos or go ziplining through lush forests while having close encounters with the animals that are on the island.
6. Visit Walt Disney World
Meet different Disney characters and tour Epcot at Walt Disney World, which is known as the happiest place on earth. Your children can visit the Animal Kingdom and spend time on different rides where they can escape to a magical park. Disney Springs also offers shopping and live entertainment when you want to take home a few souvenirs or grab a bite to eat.
7. Explore Washington D.C.
Washington D.C. offers a look at the rich history of the country and features dozens of monuments that can educate children about past events in the U.S. Spend time at the District where quaint neighborhoods and museums are available before visiting the U.S. Capitol or the Smithsonian.
