Donor Spotlight: Aspen Grove Shopping Center
Some people see Aspen Grove Shopping Center as just a collection of stores, but we see them as a valuable partner helping us further our mission of helping our neighbors in need. They have supported us in so many ways, we wanted to highlight their efforts.
Throughout the year, Aspen Grove helps us in numerous ways like holding hygiene and household supply drives. These personal care items are often overlooked yet help bring a sense of normalcy to those in need.
They also help raise funds through a variety of ways like hosting a movie night with proceeds going to IFCS. Their most recent movie night showing Frozen was the largest one in their history.
Also, Aspen Grove helps set up special merchant discounts with the money saved being turned into donations for us.
They are also helpful throughout the year. For example, they donated 35 backpacks for our most recent school supply drive. Also, they regularly help collect and donate auction items for our Nibbles and Sips gala fundraising event.
Plus, they have been instrumental in helping us develop relationships with several stores. These stores have turned into regular partners helping us, help others. Those partners include: Panera (weekly leftover baked goods to Food Bank); GiGi’s Cupcakes (special events); and Alamo Draft House (Nibbles and Sips, movie night and auction giveaways).
Finally, we would like to give a special thanks to Aspen Grove Shopping Center’s Marketing Director Natalie Vessey. Without her support of our work, we wouldn’t be able to provide hope to those in need. Thank you Natalie!
