Nutritious and Delicious Family Meals Even the Picky Ones Will Love

Getting a family to eat healthy has always seemed to be the most difficult part of dinner time. It does not have to be, however, as there are a great many dishes out there that bring out the true flavor of food in a special and memorable way. Family dinners will never be the same when you eat these nutritious meals that even the pickiest eaters among you will love.

Pasta with Meat Sauce and Spaghetti Squash

The key to eating nutritious and healthy meals is to have them taste and look great. This special meal is a winner on both accounts. The vegetables are shredded up and include a mix of zucchini and carrots. Kids will not even notice they are there, but their bodies sure will. Even spinach can be included in the sauce, and when combined with garlic it is sure to be a hit with even the most delicate of taste buds.

Taco Salad

This is a healthy meal that the entire family can get involved in. Include lean ground beef or turkey as the meat, and then add in possible toppings like avocado, black beans, tomatoes, corn, chips, cheese, and corn. The mix of seasonings will bring out the flavor in each of these healthy items, and a low fat salsa will add just the right finish to a dish that is sure to become a hit at the family dinner table.

Potato Buns

Potato buns are a much healthier alternative to the traditional store bought bread that graces many a family dinner table these days. Some companies, like Klosterman Baking Company, know that the great potato taste in each and every bite is certainly memorable, as is the way it really brings out the taste of a great burger. Consider adding pulled barbecue as an extra special treat.

Healthy Chili and Macaroni

Chili and macaroni is always a standby meal at many dinner tables across the country. Use some lean meat and nutritious beans for the chili base, along with some fresh tomatoes and garlic and you have the makings for a most delicious meal. Use a macaroni made from whole wheat flour and you will really be adding a unique spin to this dish that most are sure to enjoy.

The family dinner time is to be sacred and enjoyable. Make it even more so with these four great delicious meals that are nutritious as well. You will find that even the pickiest of eaters in your household, including the adults, will grow to love them.
