2017 Ready, Set, School Donors Needed

It is that time of the year again and we really need your support of our critical Ready, Set, School! program.

4 Ways to Help – It’s Really Easy

  1. Help IFCS Support the Program Financially – Delivering this program uses financial resources, help us to continue to provide for this huge need by donating today by clicking here.
  2. Sponsor a Child/ren by filling out this form. We will work to match you up with a child and provide a list of school items needed, clothing sizes and what other needs the child may have.
  3. Collect Schools Supplies and a New Backpack – These supplies are collected and distributed to children that did not register for our program.  Information coming soon!
  4. Volunteer TODAY! – Assist with registration, complete quality checks and monitor backpack pick-up. Select from weekday morning and afternoon shifts from mid-May through mid-August. Get started today by visiting filling out an application or by contacting IFCS Volunteer Coordinator Kendra Brooks, kbrooks@ifcs.org or 303-789-0501.

Whether you want to support the program financially, sponsor a child/ren, drop off school supplies or volunteer, your efforts will go a long way to help a child’s education.

Project Backpack School Supply Information

Beyond our Ready, Set, School! program, we offer additional school supply support through Project Backpack. This program aims to assist families who missed the signup period or will be in grades 9, 10, 11 or 12. For these families, we provide a variety of school supplies to help.

Yesterday, we put out an appeal for One Can Feed donations, so that we could replenish our Canned Pasta shelf in the IFCS Food Market. Well, our friends David and Ann came to the rescue. They made a monetary donation, so that we could purchase 125 cans at a deep discount. There will be lots of kids and kids-at-heart that have a quick meal. We are 125 meals closer to our goal of providing 130,000 meals of groceries this year. #OneCanFeed
