Let’s roll and raise some money! IFCS’ BOO-athon Bowling event  on Saturday October 26, 2019 at Arapahoe Bowling Center (Arapahoe and Dayton in Greenwood Village). Arapahoebowl.com

The Halloween Themed BOO-athon is a fundraiser that pairs food, prizes, music, costumes, wacky fun, partnership…and some friendly bowling competition amongst teams. This annual event  brings the community together to raise money in support of IFCS’ Basic Services and Enrichment Programs. These resources aim to meet the essential human needs, like food, clothing, and shelter.

At this event, teams of six players are encouraged to dress in costume and have a theme as part of their group’s participation. Players of all ages will play for fun, awards, and spontaneous prizes that pop up throughout the afternoon. Refreshments will be provided and players of all ages are welcome. Halfway through the event we will switch to Cosmic Bowling, using blue lights and illuminating florescent colors to add a festive Halloween flair.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 through sponsorships, team fundraising, mystery balloon sales, and event registrations. With your help, we can reach our goal and provide an immediate, positive impact on our many families and individuals seeking vital resources.

Here Is How It Works:

  • We ask for teams of six with a minimum $50 per adult and $30 per youth player.
  • Each team member works with the captain to meet the fundraising goal
  • Prizes are awarded during the event.

We’ll award prizes for:

  • Most Strikes
  • Most $$ Raised
  • Best Costume
  • Best Team Theme
  • Worst Score
  • Spontaneous Frame Prizes

Fundraising Example

A team member asks their family, friends or co-workers to support their fundraising efforts. They then ask as many other people as necessary to meet their goal. The key is you are involving the community to support this event.

Ways to Participate!

Build a Team

Get your friends, colleagues or family to join a team of six.  Then collect monetary contributions that benefit our seasonal enrichment programs.  We are asking for a minimum contribution  of $30 for youth 6-17 yrs old and $50 for adults.

Food Insecurity - The USDA defines it as a state in which “consistent access to adequate food is limited by a lack of money and other resources… A household is food insecure if, in the previous year, they experienced limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate foods.”

According to Feeding America, food insecurity is a problem. Almost 28,000 Douglas and 75,000 Arapahoe County residents (1 in 7 Coloradans) face this issue.
