About Our Event

Nibbles and Sips, An Evening to Help Us Alleviate Hunger, is a fine food and beverage tasting gala event that brings the community together to raise money in support of IFCS’ One Can Feed Campaign.

At this event, you can sample more than 300 wines, spirits and beers from around the world, coupled with wonderful offerings from local restaurants such as Alamo Draft House, Bad Daddy Burger, Polidori Sausage, Blue Bell Ice Cream, Los Dos Portillos, Corner Bakery,  Marriott DTC, The Melting Pot, Piccolo’s, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Red Bird Farms, Romano’s Restaurant, Tico’s Mexican, Torchies Tacos, Seasons 52 Fresh Grill  with more joining in. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available.

It is truly one of the feel good charity events where the community comes together to have a lively casual evening to support our struggling neighbors.

The evening includes inspirational speakers, live music, interactive games, local celebrities and many “feel-good moments” plus a large variety of silent and live auction items.

With your help, we can reach our goal of $200,000 and provide an immediate, positive impact on our many families and individuals seeking vital resources.

Entertaining Emcee

Mark Koebrich, was with 9News for more than 35+ years. He started in September 1981 at the Colorado Springs bureau and he became the station’s utility player. He’s anchored and done special reports for all the time slots. In the late 1980s he had a stint as national correspondent for USA Today’s former national TV show, and in the early ‘90s he helmed KUSA’s “Good Afternoon Colorado” in its short, heroic run. He most recently covered the consumer beat for the station, but he’s best known for his generosity of spirit and indefatigable good nature. He’s the affable uncle who gets along with everybody at Thanksgiving dinner, the guy you want to sit next to. His first brush with broadcasting was on the PA system at Kmart calling out the Bluelight Specials.

We are excited to return to our new home for this excellent event. The Denver Marriott Tech Center hotel has undergone a complete transformation and we are so excited to share it with your guests. This new venue is managed by the locally renowned Sage Hospitality.

Be A Table Captain

Invite 10 of your friends to get together to help raise much needed funds for your community. It is really easy and they are sure to have a great time!

What do I need to know?

Table price $1,000.

How do I get started?

  • Think of friends and colleagues who have a desire to help end homelessness and hunger in our community.
  • Make a list of people whom you think would want to learn more and be part of the solution.
  • Send them a “Save the Date” email or postcard with a little note from you. An electronic email template will be supplied to you.
  • Follow up with a phone call or a note to personally invite them to sit at your table.
  • Once guests accept your invitation to join your table, send us a list of your invited guests (click button below), by February 1, 2020.

How do I confirm my guests’ attendance?

  • Your guests are considered “confirmed” when we receive their name on the list or have registered online, with payment.

What happens at the event?

At the event, your guest will:

  • Have fun!
  • Sample dozens of wine and food vendors
  • Bid on Silent and Live Auction items
  • Learn more about IFCS and how the organization provides critical resources to alleviate homelessness and hunger.
  • As a table captain, you will be recognized in the event program.

As part of your table, you will receive one (1) free ticket with the other nine (9) at $110 ticket.

Donate an Auction Item

There are many ways to make an impact including donating an item to our live/silent auction. This is a great way to make an in-kind donation without having to write a check. Plus it is exciting to watch people bid on your item.

Examples of auction items needed:

  • Hotel lodging and restaurant certificates
  • Sporting event tickets and suites
  • Airfare certificates including donating miles
  • Unique items or priceless events such as: shadowing an equine practitioner for a day, fire engine ride-a-longs

Not sure what to donate? Ask. Often we get miscellaneous donations that we turn into great-selling auction baskets.
