Planning is currently underway for our 2016 event. If you would like to be a part of the committee or have ideas on how to make the event better, please contact IFCS Development Director Todd McPherson at toddm@ifcs.org or 303-789-0501.

About Nibbles and Sips
The purpose for this evening is to bring the community together to raise money in support of IFCS’s Homeless & Hunger Prevention Programs. These programs aim to meet the basic human needs of shelter and food for those most in need. Together we can help those near us in the South Metro area, overcome trauma and tragedy in their lives. Everyone needs assistance at some point and we are proud to be a resource to provide respite. Please help restore hope, respect, and dignity into multiple generations of our community. This is a great event that brings together generous supporters and leaders for a fun evening of learning how they can assist IFCS’s year-round programs and services. We are neighbors helping neighbors and giving a hand-up to those struggling to make ends meet.

Last year, Nibbles & Sips event was sold out and raised $130,000 through sponsorships, silent and live auctions and a paddle raiser. With your help, we can provide an immediate, positive impact on the working and non-working poor seeking a sustainable life in Western Arapahoe and Northern Douglas Counties.

Food Insecurity - The USDA defines it as a state in which “consistent access to adequate food is limited by a lack of money and other resources… A household is food insecure if, in the previous year, they experienced limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate foods.”

According to Feeding America, food insecurity is a problem. Almost 28,000 Douglas and 75,000 Arapahoe County residents (1 in 7 Coloradans) face this issue.
