Special Events for Individuals and Groups

We have three special events each year: Nibbles and Sips, Puttin’ For a Purpose, BOO-athon. Each of these events has several volunteering opportunities which change each year.

Nibbles and Sips

The largest annual event is at the end February. Volunteers are needed year round to help plan, organize and execute the event.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Planning Committee – assist in planning the event.
  • Auction activities – silent or live auction Item procurement, auction set up, auction item unloaders and movers, live auction spotters
  • Balloon Burst – set up and monitoring balloon burst tables
  • Ballroom set up – Centerpiece and program placement
  • Event Set Up – Food and beverage vendor check in, set up IFCS info table, registration assistants, sign placement
  • Volunteer Check in table, Welcome team, wine glass distribution.

Puttin’ For A Purpose

For over 20 years, IFCS has provided an opportunity for community members to engage in a game of mini golf in June and to support the community.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Registration Volunteers
  • Food/Beverage Set Up
  • Hole Monitors
  • Mini Golf Roamers
  • Food Drive Intake Workers

BOO-athon

The Halloween Themed BOO-athon is a fundraiser that pairs food, prizes, music, costumes, wacky fun, partnership … and some friendly bowling competition amongst teams.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Team Recruitment
  • Recruitment of sponsorships
  • Registration Team volunteers
  • Decoration Volunteers
  • Balloon Burst Volunteers
